ManagementRandy J. Biagas, Sr. Mr. Randy J. Biagas began his career as a journeyman electrician and estimator. Randy served his electrical apprenticeship of 4 years by attending night classes at Sowela Technical College in Lake Charles, Louisiana. After completion he then earned his Master Electrical License in the States of Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama and Maryland. After working many years as a Senior Executive with other firms, Randy branched out to begin his own Construction business, incorporating Rand Enterprises, Inc. in October 2003. As Rand's leader, Randy's has grown the company from a low voltage specialty firm to an electrical and general construction company performing many services. His goal is to have the company recognized by clients as delivering the highest standards of service in the industry. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, he is able to provide the leadership and experience to establish and streamline processes, avoid delays, and will anticipate and quickly resolve potential problems while adhering to all requirements. Bernard L. Shumate, Jr. Bernard has thirty years experience in public and private construction. As the Executive Vice President, he is responsible for the company's day to day operations. Bernard joined Rand Enterprises in 2009. The previous eleven years he was a Project Executive for Armada Hoffler Construction and was responsible for over $500 million dollars of construction volume. The projects he was responsible for were the tallest building in the State of Virginia, the Westin Hotel and Residences, the House of Sweden (Swedish Embassy) and a training facility for the DEA. Prior to working for Armada Hoffler, Bernard worked for the Jones Group including an assignment with the Lakewood Greene Engineers Metric Constructors design build company LGM. Bernard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Randy "R.J." Biagas II With 9 years experience in construction performing electrical work as a Journeyman Electrician, Randy "RJ" Biagas II joined Rand Enterprises Inc. in 2004. As Vice President of Operations and Project Manager, RJ Biagas oversees day-to-day operations within the company. RJ's responsibilities include, maintaining the company data & communication systems, supervising installation of FA & Security System project, and estimating and reviewing job cost budgets. "RJ" holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from McNeese State University. William Spencer William is responsible for the accounting, finance and human resource functions. He has 14 years experience in the industry and his responsibilities include managing the internal and external day-to-day, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. William holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia Southern University and is currently a CPA candidate. Joey L. Clayton Joey's responsibilities include jobsite safety and management of subcontractors for all phases of work including civil, structural, finishes, sprinkler, FA systems, mechanical/plumbing and electrical on projects of various sizes. Joey also performs duties as quality control manager when required to ensure performance and documentation of the three (3) phases of quality control: Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up. He manages subcontractors to ensure work is performed in accordance with plans & specifications and the approved construction schedule; and coordinates project pre-final / final inspections, testing, performs and document punch out inspections, closeout and ensures as-builts are current and accurate. He is certified by the US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors; ACI Certified Concrete Testing Technician, Grade 1; VDOT Certified Hydraulic Cement Concrete Field Technician; Certified in NRC Nuclear Safety OSHA 10-hour, First Aid, CPR. Joey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Technology, and an Associate in Science in Architectural Drafting; both from Norfolk State University. Eric Jones With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and LEED 2.0 Accreditation, Eric Jones has more than 13 years experience in construction. His expertise led to his selection to oversee REI's largest contract as Project Manager, a $64M Single Award Task Order Contract with the Corps of Engineers at Ft Jackson, SC. Under this contract REI will design & construct approximately four 56,000 SF Dining Facilities. |
